If you ever wanted to get to know India, hear a fantastic group of innovators, network with an amazing group of people, and have an exciting journey, here’s the way … but hurry, because it’s THIS December!

Held in Jaipur, this December 8 to 11th, INK 2011 is a unique conference with many purposes. Held in association with TED, it’s ultimate mission is to build a global community to “turn ideas into reality”. Accordingly, “the exchange of stories, ideas and dreams does not start nor stop at the conference; it is merely one of the many methods that facilitate the open exchange.”

Along with it’s amazing lineup of speaks from across the world, what makes this conference quite special is the woman who runs it, Lakshmi Pratury, who in 2010 was featured in Forbes Asia as one of the “100 Most Powerful Women.” Along with being a bundle of positive energy, Lakshmi is a cheerleader for bringing people together, as well as wanting them to get to know and to love India. For the latter, her group at INK will also help put together your after-the-conference adventure — you’ll see India based on your own preferences but with people who truly know the way.

.INK is nothing if not ambitious, as it’s InkTalks website will tell you:

“INK is part of a movement to change how young people view their world, goals, and ambitions. We want to inspire the younger generation around the world, particularly in emerging economies, to become creative and innovative, to carve out one’s own unique definition of success, by presenting role models and speakers on our site who have done just that. We seek to innovate the attitude of societies with narrow definitions of success into an attitude that celebrates broader definitions of success. The ideas that we showcase at INK are originated by people who have followed their own unique paths of success, the type of success that is not measured in dollars or rupees but in the amount of impact it has on society.”
