Pangea Day celebrates mankind. It’s a day where for four hours throughout the world people can unite and better understand one another through film. The hope is that the effort will continue long after the day is over … xxx

Pangea or Pangaea:
A hypothetical supercontinent that included all the landmasses of the earth before the Triassic Period. When continental drift began.*

I could go on and on about this, but simply Pangea Day is something you may want to know about and participate in … Here’s how the event is described on the Pangea site

The films
24 short films have been selected from an international competition that generated more than 2,500 submissions from 100+ countries. They were chosen based on their ability to inspire, transform, and help us see the world through another person’s eyes. The winning films will be announced late April.

Live music and talks
The 4-hour Pangea Day program will include visionary speakers and live music in addition to the featured films. Queen Noor of Jordan, CNN’s Christiane Amanpour, musician/activist Bob Geldof and Iranian rock phenom Hypernova are among the presenters taking part.

Live broadcasts from six locations worldwide
The Pangea Day program will be broadcast live from six locations worldwide: Cairo, Kigali, London, Los Angeles, Mumbai and Rio de Janeiro. Some of these events have tickets available to the public. Detailed information about these events, including addresses and directions, will be posted mid-April.

CHECK OUT and decide how you want to participate. And, enjoy!
