We love New York’s High Line! And, finally, there’s a “real” caf©” wine, beer and fresh eats — all with the Hudson River view …
There’s a new open-air venue, The Porch, a collaboration of Mary Cleaver’s The Green Table and Friends of the High Line, on the High Line just behind Chelsea Market above 15th Street open 12pm-10pm every day. It a lovely outdoor oasis with tables and chairs that seat 40 and, of course, the Hudson River view.
The menu is a made up of simple sandwiches, bruschettas, and bar snacks, all delicious and — in keeping with The Green Table philosophy — no waste and sourced locally from Amy’s Bread, Hot Bread Kitchen, Dickson’s Farmstand Meats, Flying Pigs Farm and more. All wines and beer on tap are local as well. Get there via West 14th or 16th Street entrances (they’re in between); take the stairs or elevators.
At this point, there are no reservations, and plans are to remain open until early Fall. For questions, call: 212-741-6623
After your High Line trek, why not grab a great bite with a nice cold one for all your hard efforts…
